7months old. So far she's had:

Butternut squash
potato
broccoli
carrot
parsnip
cauliflower

She's had them on their own and together.

Also had rice cakes banana and peach.

Going food shopping in the morning. Thought I might introduce a bit of white fish.

Either way your fav veg, fruit or fish recpes please.

Ds has always loved Corn Chowder:

1 large pot
1 large carrot
1 onion

chop them up & put in pan with 1pt of full milk. Bring to boil & simmer 20 mins. Add cup of frozen sweetcorn - cook 5mins.

mash.

You can also add a bit of white fish to this.

Have you tried chicken yet?

Yummy with fresj skinned tomatoes, peppers, carot, sweet potato some organic dried apricots (makes it sweeter), a little bit of red onion and a small amount of garlic.

Put in a big pot and simmer until cooked through.
Puree. Freeze whatever you don;t use.

DS loved that.

You can do the same for lamb whenever you want to intoduce that.

Apple is yummy as a sweetener or on it's own.

Also spinach (pureed)
fish pie (fish, potato)

Also mushy peas (potato and peas pureed together - yummy

Etc. It's such fun

Good luck!

Do you use normal apples or cooking apples I can't remember.

I use braeburns or cox's. yum yum

sandradee · 14/07/2006 21:18

Oh and avocados (DS was not sure about this so good with mashed banana) very nutritious
Mango
melon (DS bizarrely did not like this)

I actually found the annabel Karmel book very useful. I'm not into this baby led weaning thing (finger foods) so others may disagree but DS is now 15 months and eats with a spoon himself and eats anything and everything. I even gave him some chopped olives the other day and he woolfed it down.

TC I would do it with eating apples because cooking apples will be sour unless you add sugar which I assume you would not be doing! I would try avacado for an easy prep meal. All you have to do is mash it.
