Gearing up for weaning in next few weeks. Dd will be eating home cooked food from day one.

What are the best ice cube trays, pots etc?

Make sure the ice cube trays and pots are BPA free so the chemicals in the plastic don't leach into the hot food. I'd avoid silicone as the jury is still out on their safety with hot food.

I got the little bowls from Mothercare (red, yellow and blue range) and have found them really good - they have a squared off 'handle' which makes it easy for you to hold them without having to stick your hand in the food! Their weaning spoons are also good - long enough for you and baby to hold at the same time so they quickly get used to holding them by themselves.

Thanks! I got some tommee tippee pots and sip cup in Sainsbury's this afternoon as their selling 3 for 2.

Seems I can freeze food in them as well. I could do with some ice cube trays but I remember from ds that the food can be very hard to get out.
