i thought babies couldn't have gluten. I started weaning ds on them with milk.

well you shuld check labels then

they do do gluten free versions.

Sugar too.

Lots contain sugar, gluten, dairy, etc, etc.

you assume wrongly. there are baby food jars from 4months which contain egg, gluten, dairy etc.

dd2 couldnt tolerate gluten or other cereals at all before the age of 12months. she would projectile vomit spendidly if she ate anything that disagreed with her.

They're gross and unnecessary. As is any food before six months, imo.

why are yu weaning at 5months onto rusks?

Well at least i know now. I have started reading labels now that's how i realised they contain gluten. I'm pureeng my own veg an fruit anyway but i've bought some c & g porridge for him

Misdee- because he didn't like rice so hv said rusk and milk. He only had it for 2 days and very small amount.

But why wean at all at this age?

Maybe he didn't like rice because he wasn't ready for solids?

I actually weaned at 17 week. He's only just 5 mth and on 2 meals a day. He's a big baby i think he was ready.
