Stage 1 weaning foods for when you go out?

Hi - starting on solids this week, and we will be going out for the day with a friend in a couple of weeks, so my son still be at the puree stage by then.
I can't really ask a cafe to put my puree in their microwave (can I?) plus m/w to reheat isn't recommended because of hotspots, so how do you get round having to reheat everything?
If it's just a veg puree does it need to be reheated or can it just be thawed and served at room temperature?
Do you just use commercial stuff if you are going to be out? (don't really want to go down this route due to son having CMA and possibly others, plus the cost).
Or can anyone recommend anything no-cook that is ideal for stage 1?

I know I could just stay in while he's in the early stages of weaning, but I've been struggling with PND and seeing friends has been crucial to me starting to feel a lot better so I don't really want to cancel the day if possible.
Thanks

If he has only been weaning for a couple of weeks then he won't be on three meals a day yet and you could always skip lunch entirely without it being a problem.

Otherwise I have seen people squeezing Ella's pouches straight into a spoon without heating.

I do baby led weaning and would probably just pack a banana and some Organix baby rice cakes.

Btw, if you haven't read the mumsnet weaning advice yet, it's really useful

I used to just pack a banana. You can mix it with whatever milk he normally has to get it to the right consistency. If you only purée as much as he'll eat, you can eat the rest.

Thanks - I'll take a banana and try to get some rice cakes as well.
