I started weaning my lo at 5mth she took to it like a dream, as she was teething at the time. She is now 7mths old and i feel that she is not getting enough milk as she only will only take on 2-4oz in a milk feed, but having about 5 through the day, she did start sleeping through for 10-12 hours but has now started wakeing at 4am again. She has never been a big milk drinker as the most she ever had in one go is 6oz and that was only every so often please can someone give me some advice as i feel like banging my head against a wall.

So roughly speaking she's having somewhere between 12 and 24 oz of milk in 24hrs (assuming you do a feed in the night when she wakes)? She should be having around 17 to 20 oz alongside food, so that doesn't sound like its too far off. All babies are different and will need different quantities.

You can also make sure that she eats lots of milk in food as well if you are worried eg custardy puddings, milky cereal, yoghurts, cheese and so on.

If she is happy and thriving, nappies ok and so on, then try not to worry Smile
