I know I started a bit early (at 21 weeks) but he stole toast off me ! So I started slowly on just veg and fruit purees, bit of banana etc. Well, he's completely different to my oldest- he absolutely loves everything I put on a spoon, and manages the banana himself.

How do I know if I'm over-feeding him? I don't know what a baby potion should look like (my oldest would have one spoon of food, a bite of rice cake and a breastfeed for dinner till she was about 18 months) He never turns his head away from the spoon. And cries if I say "all gone". He is also breastfed on demand. He doesn't look fat (haven't had him weighed recently) and he started crawling a few weeks ago. He does sometimes sick a bit up after he has finished the bowl which worries me. ??

If you bf him an hour before offering solids and only offer them once or twice a day you should be ok. A portion size should be about the size of his palm (I think!). HTH Smile

Oh God - he's eating more like a small bowl of food!!

I will breastfeed him beforehand, thank you Smile
