Have you tried an open cup like a doidy or babycup? Just hand her the cup for sips and take it off her before she turns it upside down over herself Grin

Out of the dozens I have tried on DD, this one m.tommeetippee.co.uk/product/easy-drink-cup/
was the best IMO. No leaks, easy to hold and drink from.

Living in rented accommodation with carpets, I can attest to the non-leakiness of these www.tommeetippee.co.uk/product/active-straw/ - I got mine in Asda and toys r us

DS has been using a straw cup since about 8 months (he never could get the hang of feeder-style cups or bottles)

He's very stubborn though, and now (at 3!) will only drink out of a real cup either when rinsing his mouth after brushing teeth, in the bath, or if he's in a very good mood at the dinner table. On the bright side, since he's been using a straw since he was about 5 months old it's never been a problem if we find ourselves out and about without a drink because you can always get something with a straw.
