my big boy would eat all day given the chance! im just interested to hear what yours eats everyday as concerned hes getting a bit big.

he has:

7oz milk 1st thing
breakfast: porridge with yoghurt and fruit puree or banana
mid morning - snack eg apricots, biscotti, banana, rice cakes etc...
lunch - few spoonfuls of potted baby food and whatever im having maybe bits of cheese, fruit, bread...
mid afternoon: 100ml of milk (trying to get him to drop this)
dinner: half baby food pot , philly on toast and fruit/yoghurt

does this sound too much? hes v lively and active. he is on the 98 centile for weight and height. Confused

DD is 10.5 months
150ml bottle of milk when she wakes up around 7am
Slice of toast with jam or bowl of porridge around 8am
Lunch around 12, bowl of homemade vegetable pasta (100g) & fromage frais or fruit pot, or sandwich/crispbake with soft cheese, bits of tomato, a few Organix crisps, yogurt.
150ml bottle around 2pm
Dinner around 5pm, pasta, chicken casserole or sandwich

jumperooo · 23/08/2013 14:09

Forgot to add! Another 150ml bottle around 6.30pm, dreamfeed at 10pm (180ml)

jumperooo · 23/08/2013 14:11

We will be aiming to drop the dreamfeed but they still need a minimum of 500-600ml of milk a day at this age

If he's on the same centile for weight and height dont worry, he's in proportion!

My twins are 10 months old and this is a typical day for us...

7:30: 9oz formula
8:30: 1/2 weetabix, fresh fruit
11am: lunch - fish with 2/3 types of veg mashed up, yoghurt, fresh fruit
3pm: 4oz formula
4:30pm: dinner - boiled egg, toast, fresh fruit
5:30pm - 9oz milk

Both are 50th centile.

From this I am worried not feeding mine enough. He's 8month and has
Breakfast, omlett or toast or cereal and fruity thing for pudding
Mid morning 7oz bottle
Lunch, puree of meat, fish or veg plus pudding
Late afternoon, 7oz bottle
Tea, little puree
Bedtime 8oz milk.

Dd has only started picking up her food lately during 10mo stage

Morning -5oz bottle
Breakfast-weetabix/porrige/cereal/toast/eggs
Snack- yogurt and fruit
Lunch- sandwich/omelete/malt loaf and cheese etc
Snack - 8oz milk
Dinner- whatever we have. Pasta, meat, veg etc
Bed - 3-8oz depending on her mood

Inbetween time she screams blue murder every time she's see any of us eating something and we have to give her share Grin. I have no idea if she's following centiles (2nd child) as I rarely get her weighed but seems happy and healthy and generally sleeps all night so I assume all is ok

I find there's a huge difference between 8 and 10 months cleoowen. Milk is the most important thing as some babies just take a little bit longer to take to food. Your wee one is getting over the 16oz recommended so unless they seem unhappy with it or loose weight I wouldn't worry.
