my 10mth ds loves cheerios but want to find a low salt and sugar cereal?

thanks but tried those, he loves porridge but I think he ehjoys picking up the little cheerios!

ReadyBrek.
Puffed wheat from health food shops (not Sugar Puffs!)
Puffed rice from health food shops.

Otherwise cereals are pretty crap IMO.

Ready brek is great because you can add things like chopped berries or banana to add sweetness. Does it have to be cereal for breakfast though? Have a look at MN recipes and the blw website for some good suggestions Smile

Mini shredded wheats are good finger food, and are just 100% wheat.

Shreddies seem to be the best additive wise. bran flakes are 20-30% sugar..

Try Quakers Oat Crisp. Low sugar and salt and a nice size for picking up!

My DS loves raisin wheats, mini shredded wheat with raisins in the middle. Are still easy to hold after soaked in milk.
