Weaning and holiday

We are going on holiday to turkey for a week with ds 8 months.

I make all of his food from scratch at home and he is spoon fed. I am planning to take some Ella's pouches but wondering if I would be ok to give him some of the food from our hotel. Mainly worried about salt content to be honest?

He is breast fed so not worried about milk, however when he has water will mineral water be ok? Guessing mineral water is better than the tap water.

I want him to participate in meals with us like he does at home, but just worried about him having too much of the wrong stuff.

Am I being too anxious about salt etc?

I know that mineral water in Europe has a symbol on it if it's suitable for babies to drink - it's a baby with a bottle if I remember rightly. Perhaps the mineral water in Turkey will be the same. It's to do with the sodium and sulphates in the water - the NHS has advice about this here.

Food wise, I would not worry about it too much for the duration of the holiday, and just try and choose things that aren't too salty. A mixture of hotel food plus pouches should be ok for a week.

Hope you have a good holiday!
