How long do I steam veg for???

Hi, I have just bought a steamer for steaming DS fingerfood veg. How long aprox to steam small pieces of carrott? Does it take longer than boiling them? I know it might sound a bit stupid, but I haven't ever used a steamer before.:)

Just keep checking until it's the consistency you want. It's generally a little slower than boiling but still only takes a few minutes.
