I know the answer will probably be yes....but thought I would double check with all the more experienced mamas!

Can I give my 8 month old pesto . I am cooking a casserole type dish with chicken and pesto tomorrow and was wondering if it would be ok to give my little one some for her dinner?

Yes, why ever not? Unless you have a family history of nut allergies.

Why do you think you can't give pesto Lottie?

Lottiesmama312 · 07/08/2013 22:55

The nut thing made me question it! Making sure "no nuts for babies" didnt mean nuts in things just whole nuts. I knew the answer would most probably be yes....just being a worrier and double checking! Grin thanks ladies!

Its no whole nuts until they are 5. Things like pesto and nut butters are fine from 6 months Smile

Pine nuts aren't nuts, anyway. Are they?

Whole nuts are a choking hazard. They can have things like peanut butter unless their is a family history of nut allergies
