Did anyone see this research?

It makes me feel gutted as i am ebf my baby we decided to wait till 6 months due to family history of asthma and eczema have just got to six months. Was actually feeling quite proud then read this?

Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts?

thanks.

The research was on a specific set of babies, already at high risk of diabetes - it's absolutely not applicable to the general population.

I don't have a link right now though.

The article I read also said that bfing also had a protective effect against diabetes.

I don't think you can worry on the basis of when 50-odd pre-disposed children weaned.

noblegiraffe I know your right, I said similar to my dh this morning (didnt know about it also being children who were pre-disposed.) I think it bothered me as I heard this just when we got to six months! Anyway I have been 'calmed' now!!
