Weaning a windy baby: avoiding broccoli/cabbage?

My 14 week DD has had colic (that's improving) and reflux (improving, but slower). When we start weaning, should we avoid broccoli & cabbage as I have been when breastfeeding?

I don't see why? Colic passes (and is a term used to describe a fairly broad range of symptoms).

DD was colicky and refluxy but now at 9 months is a dustbin. Smile

Broccoli is a brilliant food for weaning as its easy to pick up a broccoli "tree" and it disintegrates nicely when well cooked. Perfect finger food.

Cabbage I would not give in the early weeks of weaning - not because of wind or anything like that, but just because it is quite hard to chew and eat if your baby hasn't got any teeth! Although coleslaw has always gone down well with my ds.

You've got ages before you start weaning and you may well find that the colic has calmed down or gone by then.
