Anything to avoid if lo has exema?

Wasn't sure whether to post here or on allergies,is there any foods i should avoid giving to dd2 when i begin weaning?as she has hayfever and exema and i dont want to trigger anything or make it worse.

Have just come back from the dermatologue with my 17 month old who has occ very mild eczema. He said that one of the best things I could do to stop it getting worse would be to fit a water filter to the main tank - that the impurities in the bath/tap water (he mentioned magnesium and chlorine I think) were the worst culprits for making a babies skin irritable.

Nothing was said about any foods, though I do know that in some cases there are foods associated with flare ups.

Anyone?

Dairy and wheat are usually suggested as foods t avoid.... goats milk tends to be milder than cow's milk..

Dairy was def the cause of DS's excema. Cut it out for a year and now it's OK. Still gets a bit itchy if too much but we cut back a bit and it's fine again.

tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, milk. Avoid if you can until lo is 1

If i dont offer wheat or dairy will it really limit
which meals etc i can offer?(im not very imaginative anyway)
