Dark green poo - normal with weaning?

We just started my 6mo on solids last week and have tried her on very ripe banana, prunes (in response to banana - she was straining to poo), toast, mango and she's attempted to suck and gum on a homemade turkey burger. She has some water with every meal and is currently breastfed.

Yesterday her poo was a bit green and today it was dark green (like cooked spinach - eek!), having eaten mango, a bit of prunes and toast. Sorry to be gross but the consistency and smell was as it should be.

She is just cutting her bottom two teeth at the moment. Is this poo normal with weaning?

My DD is almost 9 m and when we started weaning she got constipated too but her poo has been every colour you could imagine. I've had some right surprises at nappy time, I was told not to worry and it never lasted long before it was a new colour

Phew! Thanks for replying so quickly. I didn't give her any solids for lunch and dinner today because it panicked me so much.

Will er, look forward to the rainbow poo Grin.
