I'm pretty sure this is ok but please reassure me!

I have 9 mo twins. We started weaning with purees at 6 months. They're eating well after a slow start, ok with texture and lumps etc. I've always given them finger food too but they didn't show much interest until about a month ago when I decided that one meal per day would be self fed.

Dts definitely has the hang of it Grin but dtd is less interested. I'm slightly worried that dtd isn't eating enough at the self fed meal. Dts ate a slice of eggy bread and a whole pear while dtd ate a quarter of a slice of eggy bread and just mushed the pear up in her hand!

Is this ok? I keep repeating to myself that food at this stage is experimental etc. She is having around 20 oz of formula a day and eats her spoon fed meals well.

Ive just read that back and I'm worrying about nothing aren't I? Grin.

My ds is 8 months and I wouldn't be worried if he was doing this. I think they all develop at their own pace, even twins, and your ds is just a bit quicker with this one than your dd :)
