I would be very, very careful with this one.

I gave my 10 month old scrambled eggs & he ended up in hospital with an allergic reaction. Within a few minutes of eating only a small amount his ears swelled up like cauliflowers, he had a rash all over his torso, & the only part of his little body that wasn't bright red were the palms of his hands & the soles of his feet.

Fortunately he recovered quickly & there was no lasting harm done.

An allergic reaction is unfortunate but well cooked eggs should be fine from 6 months, many babies eat eggs at that age without any reaction. Mine were big fans of omelette and eggy bread too Smile

Erm, just give him scrambled eggs! My eight-month-old loves scrambled eggs, and cheesy omelette too.

Haven't tried eggy bread though, thanks for that idea JJJ.

A friend of mine suggested having Piriton on hand when introducing new foods in case of an adverse reaction, obviously if swelling etc call ambulance too in case swelling happens in the throat. I think the white of eggs is the most likely to cause allergic reactions. I gave mine scrambled egg from about 8 months. DS1 loved it the first time but has never knowingly eaten egg since!
