DS has been on HBF since 4m (greedy baby!!!). He is now 6m and for the past week having one purée meal and one solid meal (fruit or rusk) per day. He would previously have 6 8oz ff per day, but the past few days he has dropped to 4-5 8oz feeds. Should I switch to follow on milk now?

There's no need for follow on milk, it's just an invention of formula manufacturers so that they can advertise. They aren't allowed by law to advertise any first milks, so they invented follow on milk in order to advertise this and get their brand name recognised. If your baby is happy with your current milk I would stick with it until he is 1 and you can swap to cows milk.
