Can I just boil / steam veg and then mash it or do I need to add something to make it more liquidy?

Sorry for basic question, this is dc2 but I did blw last time so never made a puree!

You might need to add a bit of boiled water or their usual milk, depends on the veg I think. It's not an exact science and it partly depends on how smooth you want the puree.

I'd make a nice gravy or stock to mix with it. Would you eat plain mashed veg? But yes just chuck it all together and blitz it in the food processor. Easy and so much less faff than having to pay for jars. Basically you can purée most dishs that you would eat yourself. I used to make fish pie, cottage pie, etc but just don't put any seasoning in obviously.
