Two weeks in France with 7mo LO-seeking ideas/ advice on baby food please!

We are going on hols for two weeks in France (Gers). LO (7mo)currently on three meals (mix puree and finger food) + bf. I am not sure I will be able to prepare fresh food every day (puree that is, finger food much easier) so could anyone give recommendation for jars/pouches etc suitable for this age I can buy while out there? She has tried Ella's kitchen pouches and Hipps jars (not keen on either). Also natural yoghurt firm favourite here, which one should I buy in France? I think we have Carrefour near by.

There is a whole range of baby food over there - I was quite surprised by the extent (not quite sure what I expected!), even in our little local shop.

Can't remember brands (as was a couple of years ago), but nothing too out of the unusual.

Hi cavatina - I used to be on the October pn thread and live near the gers. Supermarkets sell a wide range of baby foods but not many are organic if that's what your looking for. You can find hipp but not Ella's. are you in self catering? I took a stick blender on holiday with me recently and some little freezer pots and just cooked a few things on the first day and bought finger food.
If you're planning to eat out it might be worth buying a travel high chair booster seat as not many restaurants have decent high chairs.

Oh and i just get the own brand natural yoghurt as many of the others have added sugar

We actually have a house (near Vic Fezensac-whereabout are you?) so going there with LO for the first time (the weather report very disappointing! we are so hoping for some sun!) I am planning on taking my handheld blender, but for day trips jars more convenient I think. Not that fussed about organic tbh, but as my French not very good, I remember being quite confused about the yoghurt and picking the right stuff among the vast choice of dairy products available there! I buy her waitrose own live and/or Greek style - goes down a storm!

oops posted too soon, smorgs shall we buy the booster seat in UK or it is easier in France? I think we will have to buy a high chair for the house anyway as planning to spend more time there later on, but dont fancy Toulouse's Ikea...

Easier in the UK for us, but we used it while traveling so it was a better option.

We got this one as it held other stuff. I wouldn't say it's the most robust (doesn't cope with jumping on it!) but it's fine for just getting them high enough to eat nicely.

I'm in toulouse - can confirm ikea here is a pita so best get one in uk. The one Doris has is similar to mine but mine has shoulder straps too. Bought in toys r us. Yoghurt - Greek yoghurt is easy to get otherwise get 'yaourt nature sans sucre'.

Just give her whatever the local 7 month olds eat! Or a bit of what you are having if it's suitable, mushed up with a fork eg potato, banana and so on.
