Ground almonds for toddlers

I love baking with ground almonds and would like to introduce them to my boy's diet, he is 17 months. I think I am right in saying almonds are the least troublesome when it comes to nut allergies, but most of the things I read say it's fine 'if there is no history of allergy in the family' - well this seems a bit vague. No one in our families is allergic to nuts but I have awful hayfever. Any advice?!

I'd just give it. I've got asthma and hay fever and dd had nuts in her diet from 6 months.

nut products are ok from 6 months. Whole nuts should be avoided until age 5 due to the choking risk.
