7 month old is suddenly gagging when eating certain foods?

Hi everyone,
My ds has always been a great eater, he eats 3 meals a day with small lumps and has never had any problems but the last week he is gagging (seems like choking) when eating his lunch and dinner other then yoghurts, pureed fruit. He is eating finger foods fine just wont eat his meals?? He will eat a mouthfull and then the next one he will start gagging with eyes watering ect. any help would be great as im starting to get worried as hes not eating a lot. He has a cold but this started before the cold did.

I shouldn't worry. At this age most of his nutrition should be from his milk, so it really doesn't matter if he's not eating much.

If he's ok with finger food, why not just offer that for a few days?

Im making sure hes drinking more milk to compensate. and i will try that thanks
