Lack of variety in carbs - does it matter?

I feel bad moaning about this as ds never used to eat pasta at all, and I used to moan about that!! Now though, he has pasta with virtually every meal and it is bothering me.

He won't eat eg rice, cous cous, potato (except for chips, waffles and a particular curry I make that has chopped up new potato in it) so I tend to just do some pasta to go with his food eg tonight we had curry and he had it with pasta instead of rice.

I do try other carbs now and again, but they just get refused or spat out.

He also doesn't eat 'proper meat' - eg he eats mince but won't eat chicken/beef etc etc.

Erm, does this sound ok or should I be worried? (He is 18m btw)

Thanks!

Personally I'd have just served the rice and if he didnt eat it, assume he's not hungry enough. Dont think it will do him any harm, but you may still be cooking pasta with everything when he's 21 Grin.

Same, personally especially at that age I would just serve up the one option and leave him to try
