Runny runny poos and hiccups

Maybe a bit tmi but started blw with 6 mo 10 days ago. After a few days he seemed to start swallowing and about the same time after every milk feed he did the most runny poos ever. With a little proof of whatever he'd eaten. So about 3-5 a day. I decided to give him a break from weaning on Monday to settle him and now only do one 'meal' a day (previously was doing 2) as beore little bits of sweet potato, carrot, mango, banana, breadsticks etc and runny poos less frequent but the last few days he as had lots of hiccups which make him cry after a while and disturb nap Schedule. He was v hiccupy early on and in the womb. He is also teething at the moment but has been since December! He seems to enjoy food - particularly sucking on mango. Any help/advice? I really really don't want to give him wallpaper paste (baby rice). Am I giving him too many fruit and veg? Too much variety.
He seems happy enough just all so new.

I wouldn't bother with the baby rice either, really can't see the point. Do you think his gut is just a little too immature? Perhaps have another little break and see how he goes next time?
