7.5 month old not eating much at all

DS is 7.5 months. Have been offering food since 6 months. Small amounts of porridge, mashed banana, mashed potato, stewed apple etc and then BLW finger food - melon, plum, banana, bread, rice cakes, cheese, vegetables, pasta etc. He barely eats anything whether on a spoon or BLW. He has just mastered picking up stuff and putting it in his mouth, so he is quite successful with sucking on melon, but he doesn't really bite (he has teeth) or chew. He gags frequently, and when offered stuff on a spoon will only accept about a small fingernail size, of which most gets spat (or tongue-thrusted??) out. A very small amount is going in (nappies have seeds from bread) but I estimate less than 1 teaspoon a day. He doesn't really seem to like the taste or the sensation of food. When should I worry? (PS he doesn't like bottles either) not at all selfishly wondering when I can have a few hours off

What is his weight/ size like? I wouldn't be too worried about the lack of interest in food but if he is not really drinking milk as well then I would be concerned.

Maybe have a chat to hv about it and see what they think. Was he premature at all? My friends son was like this but he was 6 weeks early and I think this influenced how well he got on with solids.

My DD wouldn't eat food except yoghurt until she was about 8 months old, she's 15 months now and eats anything and everything

When are you offering food? We used to do about 1 hour after milk.
And will he drink from a beaker or cup if he won't drink from bottles?

(By the way not that it matters but purées+finger food is just traditional weaning)

babies eat when they want to. that sound fine to me

He is a normal size (don't know what he weighs but will get an appt for the 8 month check soon). He is breastfeeding - he can now go for longer without a feed (4 -5 hours or so?) but he still feeds in the night. I am fairly sure he is getting enough milk. I offer water in a beaker but he hasn't got the hang of that so far.

OK, won't panic, will talk to health visitor in the next few weeks. Thanks everyone!
