Frozen fruit/smoothie mixes

Ok, dd coming up to weaning age & I want her to try as many different things as possible. I was wondering about the frozen fruit you can buy - you can get tropical fruit selections etc. Was thinking of taking a few pieces out & pureeing as & when (obviously allowing them to warm up before feeding them). I thought this night be a more cost effective & nutritious way rather than buying the individual fruit, pureeing & freezing it (to store). What do you think? Has anyone done this? Smile

I've used frozen fruit and veg for both of mine, both particularly liked ready brek with warmed up frozen berries.

I'd just check te packaging though, some of the frit mixes have sweeteners mixed in.

Yes, I do that, I buy them from waitrose and they are on 2 for £4 at the moment (exotic fruit and mixed berries)

I know asda do some individual berries and tropical fruit packs. I also get fruit on offer and put on a tray and flash freeze myself.
