We're going on holiday next week to Corfu {grin] YIPPEE! But I wondered if anyone had anytips on what to take to feed him with over there. Don't really give him jars at the mo unless we're out and don't really to load up the suitcase with jars of his food (his other stuff will take up more than enough room as it is!) DH bought a packet of powered food to take with us but I'm not sure about it. Anyone else been on hol witha weaning 8mth old? What did you take or buy out there to feed them?

md ds wasn't keen on jars when we travelled at 8 mths. We took a few of the powdered packs. tbh you can probably get what you need there. If you're staying in a hoel that does buffet breakfasts, they are great for pilfering yoghurts, cheese, bread, fruit etc. If self catering you could maybe take a pack of lentils with you if he eats those and cook up a big batch of easy lentils for his main meal. When we were on hols, DSt got the same main meal for a week (lenils!!) and I padded out the rest with whaever I could get out there such as , yoghurt, fruit, cereal etc.
Enjoy!

Why not start him on finger foods while your out there - all that fresh veg & fruit available - it will save you packing lots of things that way.

My sister ook a box of 24 weetabix for her son when she took him abroad at 9 months. Served them with fresh fruit for breakfast and as an emergenct teatime meal.
