I've just started a couple of weeks weaning baby she will have three small meals a day does this mean I should stop giving her five 7oz bottles now? I'm confused not hard to do mind you!

She will drop her bottles as she eats more - if you give her lunch before milk then she will probably start to drink less. Over the next few months you will probably drop down to 3x7oz bottles, and after 12 months you can do 3x4oz cups of cow's milk - they often fall into a pattern of morning, mid-afternoon and bedtime.

I thought you were supposed to give milk an hr before solids, not solids before milk. Because the main source of nutrition under 1 is milk. Food is for fun under 1 and all that Smile

I went from 5 bottles to 4 x 8oz bottles and have recently went to 3x 8oz bottles (guideline was 7oz) I had found when I introduced textured food he didn't want as much of his bottle.
But he does have 3 parts to his dinner every meal lol 1) textured food (today tomato pasta) 2) fruit (strawberry, apple and banana) and 3) finger food (broccoli and cauliflower)
My DS is 7months, hope this helps x writing this down has made me think wow it's a lot. Hope your enjoying weaning its a fun time Smile
