I am preparing to wean my DS in a few weeks. Want to start getting equipment ready....can you tell me what I need?

I used:

Avent storage pots for storing food.
Ice cube trays (3) for freezing tiny amounts of puree
1-2 spoons.
2 bowls.

Never blended food - just stewed it in a pan of water and mashed with a fork.

A cheap shower curtain or a dog for the floor, some bibs with sleeves, some low salt stock cubes and a look at this website Smile

Oh and if you are thinking of spoon feeding, Wilkinsons do some great little storage pots for about half the price.

Most pound shops have these great bibs with sleeves made out of towelling material, they cover loads of the baby. They're also good for messy play, and travel sickness Grin

Cheap storage pots (avent do a pack of 20 for £10).

Bibs with arms.

Spoons.

Highchair (ikea!)

How old is your baby? If near 6 month you dont need to puree, just mash with a fork.
