I have a DD of 6.5mths at the moment she is getting 3 solid meals with about 3oz of formula milk and then 3 other milk drinks (6oz)for the rest of the day - is this too much too little?

I wouldn't worry trying to work out what's right and what isn't. Sounds like your LO is doing great. 20oz of milk with food is supposed to be the minimum for babies under a year. My DD (8 months) varies hugely and the HV told me to chill out. So long as they're getting a balanced diet and have 'a good covering', as she put it, they're fine. It's all such a worry, isn't it?

By 'a good covering', HV meant a bit of chubbiness, btw!

thanks for that cakehead.
i have just dropped her 'dream' feed and she is sleeping through the whole night - what a wonderful thing!

you are right it is all such a worry, then their whole routine changes and i'm having to learn new ground all over again.

can i ask you what type of finger food do you give your DD? i am paranoid about her choking.
