Poor weight gain

Having a bit of a panic as last time my DS (6 and a half months)was weighted he'd dropped quite a bit below the growth curve he's previously been on for about 5 months. Health visitor isn't worried, but I wondered if anyone else had had this and if things sorted themselves out?

Yes, my dd2 was 9lb1oz at birth, but then proceeded to gain about 1oz per month thereafter.

At 15mo she fits really nicely into 9-12mo clothes!

If he is healthy, happy and alert, he's fine.

Don't worry.

DS (10mo) had, at the last weigh-in, dropped two centiles and was hovering at the third. That was the 8 month check and I haven't been back. DS is, I would add, absolutely fine, he's just slim Envy

wouldn't worry, weaned dd from 6 months and just prior to this her weight gain dipped - picking back up nicely now (7 & half months). Think is common for weight to dip at this point coinsiding with just prior to weaning plus they are increasingly active so burning more cals,

also, think weight gain does naturally start to slow from this point,

Thank you all for that - feel much better!! Smile
