Ella's Kitchen - how to get 6 month old to eat anything else?

I'm about 3 weeks into weaning my baby and am struggling to get him to eat anything but sweet Ella's Kitchen pouches. At the beginning he would eat home made purees. Then he was sick for a week and wouldn't eat anything. Now he just wants to eats Ella's - the sweeter the better. Any ideas on how to encourage him to eat other and / or savoury things?

Have you tried weetabix? Or tomato based things- marks and spencers kids mighty meaty pasta well mashed down is a favourite here, and also their fish pie. Probably need to wait another couple of weeks though.

What about mixing some of the Ellas food with your own food, gradually reduce the amount of pouch food and increase the amount of your food until he is used to the taste of yours again?

Thanks both. I'll try those suggestions.

DD will eat anything if it's coated in yoghurt....!

What Mare said - yogurt also dilutes the sweetness nicely. Fromage frais ideal, or full fat Greek yogurt.
