Bread for baby?

Hi all

I want to give my baby some toast fingers to throw around my house but the bread DH and I usually buy is a sainsbos bakery multi seeded one that I assume is probably full of salt!

What sort of bread is best? I know he's not going to really eat any much of it but being my pfb and having a sensitive tummy I thought I'd ask you wise ladies!

My dd just had what we had but I think whole grain isn't recommended.

Making your own would limit the salt and you can get lots of fancy flours like grain etc but like jilted might be best to avoid seeds/grains as although probably to small to choke on might make them cough/splutter a bit??

How old is he? The amount they actually swallow when small means salt intake would be quite tiny anyway.

Thanks, he is just over 6 months so only a few weeks into weaning so still no clue what I'm doing

Let him play with a piece of our bread and took the seeds off and he seemed to love it but after seeing replies gave him a slice of white bloomer today with some cream cheese on but it went soggy quickly much to his disgust!

We keep talking about getting a bread maker so maybe this will finally convince us!
