5 month old going off her milk?

Hi everyone
I have literally just started weaning my 5month old daughter last week and she only has a little bit baby rice mixed with her formula. Since she started eating she seems to be drinking less milk. She used to have three 7oz bottles and one 9oz bottle a day but has started only wanting to drink about 5oz of her bottles before she starts to get frustrated, although she still has a full one before bed. I'm not sure if this is even related to the fact I have started her with baby rice or not. I no how important it is for them to still have milk as this is where they get their main nutrients from but I don't want to force her as this could put her off even more. Is three 5oz bottles and one 9oz bottle enough? Am I just worrying to much as I am a first time mother? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks xx

Don't know how much formula she needs at this age. Do you know her weight? It should say on the formula carton how much she needs per day for her weight.

If she is taking less I would stop the babyrice and weaning for a bit and start again later. You may also want to read this on babyrice.

Thanks a lot for link. Just been reading it and decided I won't bother with the rice anymore when I do decide to start giving food again it will be fruit and veg. I stopped giving her solids yesterday but its made in difference so far. I'm at the docs with her today anyway so will ask him what he thinks. Thanks again
