Cow's Milk 1year+

How did you get your LO's to drink cow's milk after they turned one? My LO won't have it at all, not even mixed I to his cereal in the morning Sad. He's on 1year+ formula at the moment because he just can't seem to get used to the cows milk

Didn't he have cows milk with his cereal before Mammy? Have you tried mixing the formula with the cows milk and then gradually increasing the amounts of cows milk?

He won't eat his cereal if it has cow's milk in it Sad. He really seems to dislike the taste of it. Will try mixing it with his formula and see how we get on. Thank you Smile

Mix it with the fomula a little bit at a time and slowly increase the ratio of cow's milk to formula so he gets used to it slowly.

Has he never had cows milk with his cereal? It's not really usual to use formula in cooking or with cereal at this age.

DD2 would tolerate a bit of cows milk on cereal, as long as you either put sugar on it or use "naughty" things like coco pops.

That's it. She BF forever and has never drank formula or cows milk.

At 11 she will drink milkshakes and hot choc because her big sister makes them and she gradually joined in. She will now eat rather less sweet cereal, but no way would she drink milk.

DH loathes milk too, he doesn't do milkshakes or hot choc even.

Strangely both love yoghurt, ice cream and cheese.

So OP DS may just not like milk and he may never like it.

This is not the end of the world, in fact it's very useful because it means more milk for my teaGrin

He has had cows milk in his cereal before yes...but he doesn't like it.
Thank you Startail, good to hear mine isn't the only that doesn't want it. Will try mixing it with formula bit by bit as suggested by the others Smile
Thanks all Thanks
