at same time, moved country and are on new formula

Lots and lots of cooled boiled water. It's probably the solids that have constipated her, not the formula.

Also fresh orange if prune unavailable. They say 1 part oj to 10 parts water but I would go a bit stronger, personally.

Yep, prune juice or pureed prunes work a treat. Don't give too much though, and be prepared for quite a lot of tarry looking nappies. I think a lot of babies go through this in their first few weeks of solids so don't worry too much. Time and the prunes will work it out! Grin

Juice from stewing fruit like apple and pear diluted a bit or weak diluted orange juice.

peaches27 · 19/04/2006 21:30

Pure orange juice, just one teaspoon in two ounces of previously boiled water. This worked for us, but you can increase it slightly if necessary.

cheeseypeas · 19/04/2006 23:14

My friend heard about putting 1/3 a teaspoon of brown sugar in her babies bottle and it worked a treat.

Loads of watery fruit puress could help as well maybe.

cheeseypeas · 19/04/2006 23:15

ooops, typo 1/2 a teaspoon.
