BLW experiences please

First time poster here... Looking for some shared BLW stories/advice my DD is coming up to the 5 1/2 months and desperate to get eating, holding off for the 6th month. How is BLW treating people.

I did it with DC3 and really wish I hadn't. At 2.1 he is so fussy and his table manners are horrific, he almost always reverts to his hands, and he has never learned not to stuff his face so he ends up having to spit food back out. It could just be him but I'm not sure.

DC4 is being normally weaned like DD and DS1 were, no smooth purees as he was 6.5 months when I started, just some of our food mashed a bit and plenty of finger foods.
