Salt??

I know a baby under one can not have salt, but what about butter on toast? (this is a really stupid question, as i have a 2year old ds), but i cant remember what we did before!! Oh yea, and gravey etc?

Also, how much salt should be ds be having, hes 2.2years old, and at present, we dont add any etc, or give him any sort of tinned meat or veg etc.
