Almost 8mo not really interested in milk anymore ...

Just wondering if this is normal, or if I need to encourage her to take more milk/slip milk into foods?

She just seems so disinterested in her bottles, and is visibly excited when we eat. I've just given her some apple and blackcurrant purée in place of a 6oz bottle.

Normal ime but they rediscover their interest after a short while (4-6 weeks?). And love it more than ever.

As long as she's having her 20floz per day shell be fine. If she's not you may want to talk to your to your HV about supplements.

Are you giving her solids an hour after milk?

Hello both, thanks for your replies.

Jilted, she's not having 20oz per day at the moment: I would say it's averaging between 10-12oz. She has got bronchiolitis at the moment. This might explain the drop, but she hasn't been having 20oz for about a month now. Might be worth asking about those supplements.

I try her with milk first, then panic and offer her solids and water/diluted juice straight away.

Sorry to hear that she is feeling poorly. The recommendation is to offer solids an hour after the milk until they are one. Is she won't take much milk, have you tried offer less milk more often. I know that when I've had bronchitis I haven't felt like big meals but have grazed.

Thank-you Jilted, I tried offering her less milk (3oz) at 2nd intervals today when she would normally have her boccy and she took it with more ease Xmas Smile.

Thank-you so much for your suggestions x They've really helped
