Water from the tap, should I be shot?

In my excitement of watching DS throwing his first roast dinner around the kitchen I gave him a drink of water straight from the tap. Didn't even think twice. Babycentre says yes you can but just wondered if that's the general consensus? (he's 6 months btw)

Fine from 6 months. Im sure at this age he is laying on the floor and picking up a bunch of germs elsewhere from hewing random toys etc

ledkr · 02/12/2012 19:07

I didn't boil water either it's fine

SwivelHips · 02/12/2012 19:08

Erm I'm the one that surreptitiously wipes the toys at baby group before they go near his mouth. I blame my mother...

Yeah, it's fine!

beyoglu · 03/12/2012 17:36

Swivelhips I don't blame you for wiping the baby group toys! Last time we went to our baby group one of the mums walked in, popped the baby down and then looked at her and said "she's quite chipper now isn't she? You'd never guess she'd been up all night vomiting." Taxi for beyoglu...
