I am trying to find a link to the study that babies chose foods that they most needed in their diet. It may have been referred to in Gill Rapleys book?

Thanks!

I tried before and failed, and tried again and failed....

Anecdotally DD has always chosen particular foods, she's had free choice of the fridge for sometime, when she brings out particular foods to eat, and they are often very different. She'll also accept a substitution in the same class (ie if she brings out chicken she'll accept a sausage or cheese) but won't take a banana, when on other times she would.

I did find studies which showed that maternal attitudes and style (always maternal, none of them seemed to discuss paternal :( ) which all seemed to be very much behind the idea of leaving it up to the baby.

It was the 1950s study where they gave babies 33(?) food types to choose and the babies chose a balanced diet, apparently!?

That one? Google Clara M Davis.
