Help My 11 month old will not feed from a beaker!!

I have invested in two types of Tommee Tippee beakers, several other types. Tried screwing the top off the tommee tippee onto her bottle and other than dehydrating her into submission I don't know what else to do.

My daughter just refuses anything other than her bottles and teats she is used to.

Please help!!

Is it milk or something else you are trying her with in the beaker?

I didnt even attempt to get my dd to take milk from a beaker until she was over 1 year old but she was regularly offered water in a beaker from the age of 7 months along with her meals so that she got used to drinking from it. When she was about 13 months I switched the morning milk into the beaker instead of a bottle and gave it along with her breakfast. Only when she was able and willing to take more than a sip or two out of it did I attempt to switch the night bottle to a beaker too. You dont have to do it cold turkey, it is just a matter of persevering and your lo will get there. There is no harm in your lo still having bottles at this age.

Seona, thanks for the advice. I am probably way too over anxious. I've been suffering from severe PND and any little change to my routine I find difficult to negotiate. At least what I am experiencing is so normal.

Thank you so much you have made me feel so much better. I will try her with just water in her beaker.

don't worry about it!

I agree with starting with water. and even just keep a beaker of water somewhere she can reach all day, that way she can take it if she wants it.

just keep offering it, but don't try and force her to take it
