My dd is 22 weeks and so I'm starting think about weaning next month. I'd like to do BLW if she takes to it and have been reading the book.
I was wondering what people did for the very first few days/weeks of BLW. Did you start off with just a plate of a variety of fruit and veg and build up to introducing meat and carbs etc - if so, over what period of time? Or did you just start straight off with "they eat what you eat" and giving them proper meals (obviously baby friendly). I have a romantic notion of her sitting down and tucking into roast dinner for her first experience of food, but I somehow think that can't be quite right!!
And did you start straight away with three meals a day (I know she won't be actually eating much of the meal at first, but you know what I mean) or start with one and build up?
How long was it before your LO was actually "properly" eating? I guess this varies from baby to baby, but are we talking weeks or months?
