Is tofu ok for toddlers? Have bought some and was going to marinate it and try it with some noodles for DD 19 months.

Hello,
tofu is brilliant- very healthy for the little ones. But, I also had trouble offering it to my toddler (18mnths) in a stir fry. Unless it was in quite small bits, she would spit it out because the texture was a bit funny. BUT, she is happy to eat loads of it in a chocolate mousse! My recipe is here:

Mine will eat it in an omelette. But then she will eat anything in an omelette! DD really enjoys this Bill Granger tofu spring onion omelette with a soy tomato sauce

She also loves licking the spoon I used to stir the sauce.

Thanks for the ideas. Love the idea of the mousse!

Mine have happily eaten it from 6 months with no issues

I usually cook tofu in soy sauce which is essentially salt, so not giving it to dd until she's older. Or when she nicks some off my plate at dinner and I cant be bothered to take it off her (second child...)

Any good recipes?

See the Bill Granger recipe I linked. It's with a tomato based sauce with just a little bit of soy.
