Health visitor contradicting what I read online, who is right?

Health visitor says after 6 months most nutrition should come from food. He should only be having milk feed in morning and last thing at night. All the snack bteastfeeds should stop.
But online it often says food between 6 and 12 months is just for fun and most nutrition should be from milk still.

Any idea which is right? I ask cos I am having flat refusal from my 25week old to take any solids.

If you read "Complementary Feeding" by Gabriel Palmer, it says how a lot of food we introduce aren't actually "complementary" to breastfeeding. Food needs to be complementary to rather than replacing breastmilk, i.e providing nutrients that tend to be low in breastmilk (like iron and zinc). Giving baby rice, pasta, bread and other filling carbs tend to replace BM rather than complement it. Lots of people end up replacing nutrionally dense BM with nutrionally inferior foods just for the sake of giving solid foods.

We haven't seen our hv since Dd was 2mo (she's now 10m). Why not? Because of the continuous bad advice given. Namely that i had to top up with formula when she was first born or they'd admit her to hospital - hv said i had no milk. Thus began an 8 week cycle of breastfeeding, expressing & topping up! I later discovered on my own that she was tongue tied & id had plenty of milk. alot of hvs sprout nonsense.
