15mo with no weight gain

Just had DS weighed and he's not gained any weight since June. He's just under 23lbs and has dropped from the 75th to the 50th percentile.
This being said, he is happy, alert, doing plenty of dirty nappies and doesn't look underweight. He only started crawling at 11 months and, now that he's 15mo, he's pulling himself up and charges around the house on his knees or in his walker.
I just feel so bad that he's not thriving and am after reassurance that things will be ok!

start what did they say when they weighed him? Did they seem ok with it? Is he in proportion?

What milk is he on and what's his day like?

50th percentile is average - as he's moving a lot more he's probably just dropped some of the "baby weight" he had.

my child is on the 9th percentile (after months and months of struggling to get her up from the 2nd centile) and is happy and healthy - its just an average generally - you know your child best at the 50th percentile if he became ill and unable to eat for a couple of days he would be fine and not admitted into hospital (most likely) however on the 2nd percentile in hospital on a drip is pretty much gauranteed (been their, done that - can you tell??)

p.s. he sounds like he IS thriving!!!

DD on the 75 centile at birth, went up to the 98th with rolls & rolls of fat & numerous chins whilst being ebf and then, once we introduced solids, gradually slid down the centiles until she ended up on the 9th having not put any weight on over a 5 month period. During this time, she was happy, healthy, alert & meeting all of the usual developmental milestones. After not gaining any weight for 3 months, the HV asked me to see my GP in case she was missing something or the GP thought DD should be referred but the GP agreed with the HV that she was just finding her natural weight. She's about to turn 3 and is now just under the 50th centile.
Whilst I was pregnant & ebf, I ate a LOT, much of which was rice pudding, chocolate, cake etc so my completely unscientific theory is that she was getting a lot of calories from me whilst in the womb and when ebf and that, when she was weaning, a lot of her diet was fruit & veg which obviously had a huge impact on her calorific intake. And she started to move around much more too.
