Question about finger foods

My DS 7 and half months has got the hang of getting finger foods to his mouth but stuffs so much in he doesn't know what to do with it. He'll keep it in his mouth for ages, gradually a little bit will come out at a time. Should I help him get it out of his mouth or just let him get on with it?

He does some chewing motions but forgets after a while.

Any advice?

I would let him get on with it. He'll soon get the hang of it Smile

My ds used to do this.

I used to just leave him to it. He got the idea in the end.

In the meantime, one of those bibs with a scoop type bottom were invaluable!

Yeah, just let him get on with it. My LO stuffs huge chunks of orange in and takes ages sucking all the juice out before spitting out all the pith!
It can actually be a bit dangerous trying to remove things from their mouths as you can run the risk of accidently shoving it further back Confused
