Lunch ideas please!

Hi everyone

I'm really struggling with ideas for lunch! DS is 15 mo and doesn't have a huge appetite at lunch, he has a big breakfast and dinner but not so much at lunch.

I'm not much of a sandwich/bread person but that seems to be all I can think of for DS - that and scrambled egg! He'll eat a slice of bread and houmous/cream cheese/marmite and a scrambled egg. Or perhaps a bit of avocado and falafel. Followed by fruit and yoghurt. If I offer him a proper meal he'll wolf down the lot. (eg spag bol)

He's a bit fussy when it comes to snacky type meals but I don't have the time/inclination to make two big meals a day!

Any suggestions? He doesn't really like cheese and is a bit fussy with raw salad/veg (cucumber, pepper etc).

Thanks!

Could you just make double of what you have in the evening and give it to him for lunchtime?

I tend to give bread/sandwich/toast for lunch as its so easy.

DS is a similar age and normally has sandwiches when he's not at nursery. He also has omelette, cheese on toast, peanut butter, philadelphia, honey, etc
Sometimes he has what we had the day before, sometimes he has a jacket potato, with various fillings.

Thanks for the replies. Seems bread is the standard lunch option!

We always keep evening left overs for his dinner the following day, so I still need a second meal. Omelette used to be a hit but he went off it- will have to try that again.

Any other ideas?

Cold penne pasta in a sauce or with tuna mayo?
