Hello,
What do you BLWeaners do when eating out? Bit worried that everything will be full of salt!
Thanks x

Sorry - none of this is helpful to OP! Your first reply said it all - there is nothing to add.

So, sling hoo-har aside, and back to the OP.

I do a couple of things when out with 7mo DD who is BLW:
*If anything I order comes with a salad, I ask for portion of veg instead. Nearly everyone can accomodate this, and I munch the main meal and DD picks at the broccoli / carrots etc that the meal comes with.

*I try to order something with relatively un-fussed with meat, so steak, chicken breast, salmon. All of which DD can have

*I take a packet of little flavoured rice cakes or a peach or similar along incase I go for something she can't have (gammon?)

*Strangely, she likes the lemon out of my water glass too Grin doesnt seem to notice the sour taste, and its fruit. Win win.

*Adopt a mindset of a little bit won't harm. Today, for instance, she had a couple of sucks of ice lolly at the park. I would also give her a chip (I don't salt them).

Blimey, inadvertently opened a big can of worms!
Thanks for the tips though, definitely feel a bit less worried about eating out with baby.
Also can't wait to see how he likes sucking a lemon! X

Worth asking for whatever you want in a smaller pub. My mum did a meal for a BLW baby the other day (she has a pub) as she was so fascinated by how well the baby was eating Grin
Trust me I got a full run down on what baby had eaten, how clever baby was, how it was much easier.... Grin

If Ds is having something from the menu then I order this when I order the drinks and ask for it asap. Particularly if hes hungry.

Also, please don't worry about the mess. Most places will give you a sweeping brush or something if you ask and I've not had one cafe or restaurant person complain.
